LOCAL BUSINESS: Well known businessman, daughter die in plane crash during college trip in Wisconsin

LEHI -- Vivint Solar today expressed condolences to the family of Joe Trustey, a member of the company's board of directors. Trustey died July 29, in a plane crash that also claimed the life of his daughter.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Joe Trustey and his lovely daughter," said Greg Butterfield, CEO of Vivint Solar. "Joe was an inspiring leader and friend. He brought great value and warmth to our company and he will be greatly missed."

Mr. Trustey, a managing director and chief operating officer of Summit Partners, has served on Vivint Solar's board of directors. He was also serving on the board of directors for APX Group Holdings Inc. READ MORE HERE

LOCAL SPORTS: BYU Basketball adds talent to possible roster

PROVO – BYU signed two big names in two days that could be a major boost to Coach Dave Rose’s basketball program. Elijah Bryant said he plans to transfer to BYU from Elon University and Connor Harding announced via Twitter that he plans to play for BYU. READ MORE HERE

 

 

 



BYU says tailgating rules unchanged from 2014 season

PROVO — BYU said tailgating plans for the 2015  home football season will be the same as 2014 and won't be changed as earlier reported. In an effort to improve the tailgating experience at BYU, the new plan combines the RV lot with the regular tailgate parking (Lot 20) located directly north of the BYU Broadcasting Building.
“The goal is to create a centralized location that gives Cougar Nation more space to enjoy the pregame tailgating experience with friends and family,” said BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe. “It’s part of our continued effort to improve the game-day experience at BYU.” READ MORE HERE
